On 4 February, Queen’s Park Rangers Trust held a special event to mark the 10th anniversary of the foundation. The aims of the QPR Trust are to create opportunities, inspire people and help people fulfil their potential.
The QPR Trust run different programmes across seven London boroughs.
They run three DSActive football sessions across three London boroughs (Hammersmith and Fulham, Brent and Hillingdon). The team are called the Tiger Cubs and often play friendly fixtures and attend the our National Festival every year.
The 10th anniversary event was held at the House of Commons. Over 100 people attended including members of staff, partners, players/participants as well as professional football players such as Les Ferdinand, Chris Ramsey, Steve McClaren. Two players from the Tiger Cubs gave speeches about their own football journey and their mums also spoke about the amazing opportunities that the QPR Trust had given their sons. Both players had been with the Tiger Cubs team for ten years.
