2019 Guest Blogs Review

Well that’s it, in the blink of an eye 2019 has been and gone. We have lots of new exciting projects coming this year, but for now we wanted to take a look back at all the people who sent us guest blogs for our website last year.

Did you meet Ben? Ben is an incredibly busy 18 year old. He goes to the gym, does gymnastics, plays for the Moorside Rangers DSActive football team and plays tennis. He also spends Thursday night at Team Swag, but I will let him explain all about that.

Our colleague Vinay is a very keen cook, and he loves his spices! He often tells us about all the dishes he has been cooking so we asked him what were his top 5, and the results made us all hungry!

Kate is the editor of the Down2Earth magazine here at the Down’s Syndrome Association. In July she went on a dance tour to Kosovo, and in this guest blog she tells us why she got in to dancing.

Edward is a very sporty young man, in particular he loves playing tennis with his friends. He is a part of our tennis session in Ealing and we asked him why he got involved in sports.

This summer, multiple world champion and world record holder Charlotte gave us some amazing advice on how she prepares for her events and told us more about her experience at the IAADS European Championships in Finland.

Alex is a keen tennis player, he attends the DSActive tennis session with Shooters Hill Tennis Club, he attended our very first National Tennis Festival and the DSActive summer camps. We managed to grab 5 minutes with him to ask him more about why he loves sport.
