Moorside Rangers celebrated its official launch of the DSActive programme for children with Down’s Syndrome on Sunday 26th February 2012.
Thanks to the support by the DSActive by advertising the project, the day attracted a fantastic turnout of 32 players from all over Manchester and the North West, aged between 6 to 16 years old.
The session was a massive hit with both the parents and players alike, with some great football on display combined with huge smiles all round.
Due to the high numbers of children attending, Moorside have now formed two groups. DS Group 1 is for the younger children as an introduction in to football, sessions consist of football oriented games and activities, and mini matches. DS group 2 is for older participants to practice their skills and techniques.
Start: 10:00 (older participants) 11:00 (young participants)
