The first DSActive football session was launched in 2006 with Fulham FC Foundation. The session started as an informal kick-a-bout in the park and developed into structured sessions delivered by experienced and professional coaches.
They proved to be so popular, that within two years word began to spread and new clubs began to form across the country.
Since then, we now support over 40 football sessions all across England and Wales. Our National Festival began in 2010 and is now the largest event in the country exclusively for people with Down’s syndrome. We are lucky to be working in partnership with grass-roots community clubs to some of the biggest professional clubs in the country. Each club and DSACtive team has had a huge impact on their local community and are often the pride of the club’s football foundation.
